    Omnibus I, published in 2026, simplified the CSRD and raised its application thresholds: the directive now primarily targets large companies (around 1,000 employees and more than €450M in turnover). The simplified standards roll out toward 2027–2028. For food and FMCG brands, this leaves a short window to put credible, auditable agricultural water measurement in place.
